If you want to experience a bit of the splendorous charm of bygone colonial days in Southeast Asia (and to enjoy some lovely tea and finger foods), go for the Local High Tea, at the classical Goodwood Park Hotel.
The elegant Coffee Lounge, with its classical arches, is the perfect backdrop for a proper high-tea, the way it should be...
The spread boasts a diverse assortment of fabulous cakes, fresh tropical fruits, tiny tarts, freshly baked pastries and what not... Tea is served in classic porcelain ware and the ambience is very pleasant.
Price is slightly high, but it's worth the money
Local High Tea is served daily, 3 - 5:30 pm
Another option is to go to the English Afternoon Tea at L'Espresso (which is also at the GoodWood Park Hotel), where you can enjoy a fantastic tea-buffet on the breezy poolside terrace.
Mon – Thurs: 2pm – 5.30pm, Fri – Sun & PH: 12noon – 2.30pm (1st seating) and 3pm – 5.30pm (2nd seating)
L'Espresso also acts as a "lounge" during the evening and features live music, with a pianist, who plays a wide repertoire of piano pieces... Mostly familiar international music.
